Maine Moose Hunts

A moose hunt in Maine is truly a once in a lifetime experience. Maine has more Moose per square mile than anywhere in North America. Trophy moose with spreads of over 50” and some over 60” are taken in the state each year. Moose hunting in Maine is by permit only and permits are drawn through a lottery system. Applications may be submitted from January through May and the drawing is held in each year in June.  If you’re are lucky enough to draw one of these coveted permits we are eager to take you into one of our well-scouted, remote areas in search of your harvest.

 

IRONBOUND OUTDOORS is one of the few moose hunt guide services that offers one-on-one guiding and calling for trophy moose. We attach guides to ONE specific moose hunt party - you will not need to share your guides attention with any other hunting groups. Calling during a moose hunt sounds easy, but there is a lot to it - call placement, timing, wind direction, scent, sight, and sound, all factor into a successful hunt.

 

All of our Guided Moose Hunt packages include ample scouting, full access to your guide at any point leading up to your hunt, off-road capable transportation and fuel expenses for duration of hunt for permittee and sub-permittee, as well as after-harvest support with field dressing, game retrieval and transport to local walk-in cooler for a hanging dry age and/or straight to quality processor.

*Remote Camp Moose Hunts include some equipment and meals for entire hunting party (up to 8ppl).*
